Till You Stop | Mischer’Traxler

As a part of Vienna Design Week, design team Mischer’Traxler created an automatic cake decorating machine. Participants controlled the machine which started by piping icing in a Spirograph-like pattern, they could then have the machine add edible silver balls. The user has control over how much decoration is added, but they can’t restart the machine until a new cake has been inserted.

The project is being exhibited at the MAK Museum as part of the ‘Design Criminals’ show which looks back at Adolf Loos’ early 20th Century essay, Ornament and Crime.

The Seabreacher-X

The Seabreacher-X, a submersible watercraft that JUMPS LIKE A SHARK, is any billionaire playboy’s dream. There’s only a prototype right now, but it’s on my wish list for 2012. Right after the iPad 3.0.

Etch-a-Sketch iPad Case

You may remember our previous post about the TV iPad Dock, but this one probably takes the cake for the cutest way to display the world’s most useless gadget wave of the future in a retro way. Click the image to visit the official site. | via Geekologie

TV iPad Dock

We’re not exactly fans of the iPad, mostly because we don’t really get where it fits on the technological spectrum.  Is it a really unwieldy phone that doesn’t make calls?  Is it a laptop that’s lacking most of the familiar features of a computer?  There is one use, however, that we think is awesome: retro TV.  More pics and words at Design Mind
